This is a quick recap of everything we have been working on during this last month

An army of artists

Our first focused hirings during this period have been artists. We worked around the clock to find the best artists in the space, and have already started working with them. We are very happy with the positive feedback we got to our sneak peeks:

Our aim is to continue moving forward with our hirings. We plan on adding a few more artists, but more importantly we are looking into AAA outsourcing studios. Indeed, the amount of art we need to make all the cards, UI, splash art … And the trailer for our game will definitely require outsourcing. For now, we met with a dozen studios but didn’t start working with any of them for legal reasons, more on that later.

Preparing the game

We hired three game devs and are looking into adding at least two more in the coming weeks. With that we have already started working on the alpha of the game. We also added two game designers to our team, with their help we managed to nail down the gameplay and design the cards for our first expansion.
Now what is left is testing, testing, and again testing. We are finishing up a prototype of the game which will allow us to test our gameplay online.

Phase 2 and legal hustles

Registering the 9tales company legally took us a bit more time than expected, fortunately with the help of our lawyers we were able to get all the necessary documents. 9tales should be registered as a company with HQ in Paris in the coming weeks. (update: It is done now, we are registered in Paris!)
This step is important because it will allow us to work with multiple entities, such as the AAA outsourcing studios. And, most importantly, it will allow us to get to work with some new “friends” … Maybe you guessed who we are talking about, if not, be patient !

On the other hand, we are going full steam into our phase 2. We have fixed the NFT drop that will be done to our 9tales NFT holders.
A large part of our ressources will be dedicated to marketing, because as much as we are working hard, all of this will not be useful if our work is not seen by people. We plan on starting our largest marketing campaign, so far, shortly before phase 2. So be prepared to see a lot more activity and newcomers when that starts.

Finally, we are also planning on adding a few stylistic changes to the current NFTs, this will be done in order to differentiate between the Genesis NFTs and those from upcoming phases. When the style change is fixed, we will propose a vote to our holders.
